Outstanding Results & Inspiring Journeys - Sixth Form Class of 2025

Bordesley Green Girls’ Sixth Form is proud to celebrate the achievements of our A Level and Level 3 BTEC students in this year’s examinations. The results reflect not only the talent and commitment of our young people, but also the dedication of our staff and the support of families and the wider school community.

This year, 10% of A Level grades were awarded at A* – A. Vocational pathways also shone, with 53% of BTEC Level 3 grades at Distinction* or Distinction.  Overall 60% of all grades were at A*- C  for all Level 3 qualifications. These achievements reflect the dedication, ambition and resilience of our students, supported by the expertise of our staff and the encouragement of our wider school community.

Among the success stories is Mahisa, who achieved 4 A* grades and will be heading to Cambridge University to study Medicine. “Words can’t describe the gratitude I feel towards BGGS for everything they have done for me. My results are equally BGGS’s achievements as mine. Thank you to my teachers for amazing lessons and the support you have given me.”

Malaika and Laimah achieved A* & As in their A-Levels. Both students have secured places to study medicine.  Yusra also achieved all top grades and has secured her place to study Dentistry at University of Birmingham.

Mayesha secured a place on  Biomedical Science at Aston University after achieving Triple Distinction* in  BTEC Biomedical Science.  “The encouragement from staff made all the difference, thank you to all the fantastic teachers who helped me.”

‘’A huge thank you to the amazing teachers for the unconditional support I have been given over the past years. Even when I was doubting myself, they were there to reassure me and motivate me to do the best!’’, said a student who is going on to study Mathematics.

Our first cohort of students studying T- levels Early Years performed extremely well with students achieving merits and passes.

Headteacher Pritpal Hyare said:

“We are immensely proud of every single student. These results are not just about numbers — they tell the story of young people who have worked tirelessly, shown great character, and are now ready to make their mark on the world.”

Head of Sixth Form Hugo Donaldson added:

“Whether our students are heading to university, apprenticeships or straight into employment, they leave us as confident, capable and compassionate individuals ready for whatever comes next.”

From offers at Cambridge, University of Birmingham, St Mary’s University, and Aston University  to sought-after apprenticeships and employment opportunities, the Class of 2025 is a testament to what can be achieved through determination, talent, and the right support.

Students have secured places on to a range of courses: Dentistry, Optometry,  Engineering, Medicine, Construction Project Management, Mathematics, Primary Education, Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence, Law, Nursing, Optometry, and Speech & Language
