Work Skills

At Bordesley Green Girls' School our aim is to prepare our students for when they leave us to enter further education, apprenticeships, or the world of work.  We prioritise  empower them with knowledge, skills and understanding.  This will enable them o both gain the most from, and contribute the most to the wider community of which they are, or will become, part.  Work skill lessons explicitly teach students some of these skills, while encouraging them to explore possible future pathways.  This ensures that by the end of Year 12 they are confident in determining which options are most appropriate for their aims, abilities and aspirations.
