COVID-19 and School closures
The duty of care at BGGS towards our students still continues and if you require any support or advice in relation to your daughter’s SEND needs, please contact us using the contact numbers on the school website or you can contact Miss Davies ( SENCO) directly 07561 678532 ( school mobile) between 8.30am-6pm Monday-Friday or via email firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can book childcare for the children of key workers or vulnerable young people for example those with an EHCP; however, you must pre-book a place for you child by phoning Ms Porter on her school mobile:07871 778 623 before 4.30 pm the day before a place is needed.Individual risk assessments for young people with an EHC Plan are updated regularly and for those students who are working from home targeted, focused work will be provided to meet their individual needs. The nature of provision will be designed in collaboration with the parent, student and any outside agencies who usually support the young person within school.
Students who are supported through SEND support will receive weekly calls to ensure they can access their work. The Local Authority have a range of support services offered for families at this time, please see the leaflets below:
