Key Stage 3 Drama News Nov 2018
This academic year, Key Stage 3 students have started their drama curriculum in style!
With Year 7 studying the six main drama techniques, Year 8 learning how to devise performances from a stimulus and Year 9 creating their own silent movies, there is lots going on in the Drama Department.
All students have been incredibly engaged in their learning and have been enjoying learning different skills in a practical way. After the success of last year's whole school production of 'Aladdin', we will be looking to cast our second school production as we continue through the school year.
Students will also have the opportunity to continue their skills development in Year 7 drama club and the Arts Award in the near future.
Not only does drama develop creative thinkers and confident performers, drama lessons provide a huge wealth of transferable techniques that will equip students for a life in the working world. With students exploring how to problem solve, negotiate, become leaders and work both independently and as part of a group; there is something to be gained for every student from their drama lessons.
Well done girls!
