BGGS remembers the First World War
Shortly before 11.00 am this morning, our school community gathered together for our annual Act of Remembrance.
1000 students and 100+ staff gathered together for one minute's silence to commemorate the end of the First World War.

Acting Headteacher Mrs Hyare read an extract from the poem For the Fallen by LAURENCE BINYON
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.

After the reading, Mr Wilson and Ms Allen, played the Last Post and then the playground fell silent.
It was a very moving occasion.
