Magnificent A2 Exam Results!

We have DOUBLED our expected A*, A and B at A2 this year!

Our Sixth form has been growing since it started in 2011. We have had  our first graduates from Universities this summer. We now have 332 students studying in the Sixth form. We are delighted that although we have 40 more students in Year 13, our outcomes appear to have improved building on the success of last year.

Our target average grade for the whole cohort was C- but we achieved a C. This is because while the A*-C and A*-E grades were in line with targets the number of A and B grades was double those expected at A level and 17 of our 25 vocational students achieved 3X Distinction * (3XA* equivalent)

Zakiyya Miah was the top performing student with A* Chemistry,Sociology A,Biology A, Psychology A and an AS A grade in Arabic. She will be studying Chemistry at the University of Birmingham.

Moriom Begum had 4 grade As in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths and along with Zakiya Bibi will be studying Medicine at the University of Birmingham. Bilquees Kauser gained A* in Psychology and Biology and  a B in Chemistry.

The Gul twins Rabia and Yasmin have achieved the grades needed to study Dentistry at the University of Birmingham. Our 17 Distinction * students from Health and Social Care (68% of our students have A*equivalent ) have been very successful at gaining places on very competitive courses such as nursing and midwifery.

We are bucking the trend for success in Languages As and A2 with all 11 students achieving  A and B grades in either French, Arabic, Spanish or Urdu. We also have very strong results in Humanities and Social Sciences.
